Mae-Ann Webb | Biography


Mae-Ann Webb is from the small town of Ridge Spring, SC and a graduate of W. Wyman King Academy. She is currently a student at the University of South Carolina where she is earning her degree in Retail and Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Hospitality and Event Management. She is a Life Scholarship Recipient, has been named to the Dean's List at the University, is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization. Her career ambition is to become an Event and Wedding planner. One day, Mae-Ann also plans to open her own Bridal Boutique.

In her spare time, Mae-Ann enjoys going to the gym and learning new healthy living tips to keep fit! She finds it so rewarding to live a healthy lifestyle! In today’s society it is so easy to get lost and lose control of one’s self, so she aims to be a good role model and encourage others to lead a healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys cooking, baking, crafting, reading and taking care of her 2 year old yorkie- Indie!

Mae Ann has been involved in many volunteer activities in her community and state because she believes her duties go beyond the winning of a sparkly crown and sash on Saturday night. These organizations include Relay for Life, Palmetto Children’s Hospital, Fashion For a Cure, The South Carolina Autism Society, Pet’s Inc Adoption Center, Story Fest at the SC State Museum, MCG Children's Hospital, and "Royalty Reads", a program which she has established to bring an awareness to the importance of reading and to challenge boys and girls to read. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at USC and very involved in the sorority’s Philanthropy "Breast Cancer Awareness. Her Personal Platform is Organ Donation. Due to the fact that her older brother is on a list for a kidney transplant, she is most passionate about organ donation, not only in South Carolina, but also in the nation. She is currently an organ donor, apart of the organization “Be the Match”, and currently being tested to see if she is a kidney match for her brother.

Mae-Ann has been featured on the TLC show “King of the Crown” on the episode The Southern Belle vs. the Bombshell. She has done extra work in the upcoming television shows, a pilot episode for “Shelter” and the Marvel Production movie, “Iron Man 3”. She has been in several issues of Supermodel’s Unlimited Magazine. And has walked the runway in many fashion shows ranging from LA, California to Charlotte North Carolina. She participated in Wine, Dine, and Design, A Fashion Show event supporting The Walker Foundation for the Deaf and Blind. Mae-Ann is also a member of the Carolina Coquette’s Dance Team at USC and performs at all home games!

Since the age of 14 Mae-Ann has been involved in pageantry. Along with various local titles, Mae-Ann was crowned Miss Teen South Carolina United States in 2010 Miss Columbia USA in 2011, Miss Galaxy International in 2013, and currently holds the prestigious title of Miss South Carolina United States 2014. Mae-Ann says, “There is no greater honor than having the opportunity to represent such a wonderful organization and to be a role model to the people of her state."
